No. 1 seed Tatjana Maria continued her dominant run in Newport, defeating Yuriko Miyazaki 6-1, 7-5 on Center Court. The World No. 45 and 2022 Wimbledon semifinalist claimed 71% of total service points and 77% of first-serve points in a match lasting just over 90 minutes.
On the men’s side of the draw, No. 5 seed Eliot Spizzirri advanced to his first Hall of Fame Open quarterfinal. The New England native bested Aidan Mayo 6-4, 6-4 on Center Court.
